Chinese Influencer Exposed for Cutting Berlin Marathon Course by Bicycle

At the September 27, 2026 Berlin Marathon, Chinese fitness influencer Abeeeer was photographed riding a bicycle (later reports said sitting on the rear rack of a bicycle) at around the 38-kilometer mark. She initially celebrated a personal best of 4:53:46. On October 3, she admitted the violation and apologized. Her result was subsequently disqualified and annulled, and timing data showed her fastest 5-kilometer split of the entire race came between 35 and 40 kilometers, at 30:49, an average pace of 6:09 per kilometer. Sponsor Brooks China has ended its partnership with her.
