2026 Berlin Marathon Results Announced: Guye Adola Wins Men's Race, Tigst Assefa Wins Women's Race

The 2026 Berlin Marathon started on Sunday morning local time. This is the 52nd edition of the race, with more than 56,000 people expected to participate. Ethiopia's Guye Adola won the men's race in 2:02:51, breaking the 2:03 barrier; on the women's side, Tigst Assefa was still on pace at 40K to break Ruth Chepngetich's 2:09:56 world record, but faded in the final stages and ultimately won in 2:11:04.

On September 26 Beijing time, the fourth day of athletics competition at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, Chinese track and field athletes won a total of 1 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze in triple jump, middle-distance running, and marathon events.
