B.A.A. accepts record qualifier field for the 131st Boston Marathon
The Boston Athletic Association has begun notifying qualifiers accepted into the 131st Boston Marathon, to be run on April 19, 2027. Applicants needed to be 5 minutes, 17 seconds faster than their age-group standard, and 25,630 qualifiers have been accepted or are pending verification from 33,649 applications. New for 2027, 1,000 more qualifiers are being chosen through a random Boston Qualifier Selection.
