2027 TCS London Marathon expands to two days and hosts UK Athletics Marathon Championships
The 2027 TCS London Marathon will be held over two days, April 24 and 25, with the men's elite race on Saturday and the women's elite race on Sunday. It will host the UKA Marathon Championships and serve as a selection race for the 2027 World Championships in Beijing and the 2028 LA Olympics. The first two British men and women in the elite races can be selected if they meet qualifying times of 2:06:00 and 2:23:20.
The two-day format and dual championship selection role show how a major marathon can serve national team trials while splitting elite men's and women's races across a weekend.
