Outside Run · 10/8/2026, 10:39:38

Three-time Olympian Deena Kastor and top American Susanna Sullivan shared seven tips for racing the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 11, including running even splits and treating the first 10K as a warm-up. Hydration packs and vests are not permitted, and Sullivan warns downtown skyscrapers can interfere with GPS early.
