Conica's CHF 1.5m Conipur Vmax Rebuild Keeps Lausanne Among World's Fastest Diamond League Tracks
Swiss track specialist Conica rebuilt the Pontaise Stadium surface under Athletissima for around CHF 1.5 million ($1.82m) ahead of the 2026 meeting, replacing a track that had lost its World Athletics Class 1 certification. The six-week project installed Conipur Vmax, developed with the German Sport University Cologne, featuring an energy-reflecting base layer with air cells and a stabilizing top layer. Conica has supplied Lausanne's track since the meeting moved to Pontaise in 1986.
